Sunny Nunan, Founder & CEO of The Admin Awards
Sunny Nunan is the Founder and CEO of The Admin Awards, the first and only awards program of its kind in the country to publicly recognize the invaluable contributions of Administrative Professionals headquartered in Dallas, TX. A pioneer for administrative appreciation, The Admin Awards concept was inspired by Sunny’s Mother, a career admin and was first launched in Dallas in 2012 with tremendous success, then in Fort Worth in 2014 and has begun to expand nationally – beginning with Silicon Valley in 2016. Sunny’s mission is to bring The Admin Awards to major cities across the U.S. so every administrative professional gets the recognition they deserve.
In addition to The Admin Awards, Sunny is also the Founder and Chairman of Core24, founded in 2009, which helps business leaders running small – mid market companies fast track to exceptional, vetted local business resources in areas typically outsourced.
Sunny loves her husband Ben, kids Sydney and Scout and two dogs Raleigh and Zach. Her love for creating things, people, traveling to new places, pizza, famous quotes and watching great TV and movies (she still misses Walter White) have made for an interesting and rewarding life. She lives in Dallas with her husband Ben, two kids, Sydney and Scout and two dogs Zach and Raleigh.
Ben Nunan, President & COO
Ben Nunan is by experience and education an aerospace engineer who’s putting his big brain –and ability to understand and master just about anything, to work for The Admin Awards. Ben oversees all operations for the company including finance, Human Resources, logistics and technology. A graduate of the Australian Defense Academy and 20 year veteran of the Royal Australian Air Force, Ben’s highly effective leadership style brings out the very best in teams.
Eric Trautmann, SVP
After being ‘bitten by the bug’ more than twenty years ago, the event industry still teaches and excites this veteran every day. Truly fresh approaches to marketing and business development are hard to come by, but the Admin Awards is the real deal! That is what drew Eric away from a decade of agency life to his role as SVP, Partnerships for the Admin Awards.
Prior to joining the Admin Awards, Eric was SVP, Marketing & Strategy for The Wilkinson Group, one of the nation’s leading experiential marketing agencies. During his years at TWG, Eric directed the agency’s operations, business development and client/project management efforts. He built and led teams who created and delivered large-scale, integrated events and sponsorship initiatives for a diverse client roster including: Blackstone/Equity Office, Maker Media, UCSF, Nitro Circus Live, the National Lacrosse League and The San Francisco Maritime Parks Association.
Eric holds a degree in creative writing from San Francisco State University and has lived in the Bay Area for 30 years. He is thankful for the fun, rewarding journey his career as a marketer and strategist has provided and is proud to be a member of the Admin Awards Team.
Eric loves his extended family and close friends and is grateful for every day with them.
Colleen Schwake, Program Director
Colleen is a sales and marketing guru who brings to The Denver Admin Awards her decade long experience in business development in a variety of industries. Her innovative and unparalleled ability to professionally connect people in order to increase their bottom line has made her a sought after marketing expert.
Colleen is a native of The Windy City and is most comfortable hailing a cab on Michigan Avenue in negative degree weather. After graduating from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism and Marketing, Colleen jumped into the advertising industry as a Senior Broadcast Negotiator with J. Walter Thompson-Chicago. There she negotiated 2 year media deals for companies such as: Ford Dealers Association, Domino’s Pizza, Kraft, Kohl’s, Warner-Lambert, Kodak, Kellogg’s, 20th Century Fox, Sprint, DeBeers, Midas, Motorola Cellular, and countless others.
Although, she thrived at J. Walter Thompson, Colleen felt it necessary to branch out and expand her horizons. She accepted the position of Account Executive at Blair Television and utilized her negotiating skills by representing the major television networks and over 50 of their affiliates, along with 100+ radio stations, all over the United States. Here she honed her skills in business development and marketing.
Then 10 years ago, the mountains beckoned and Colleen traded hailing cabs for skiing and hiking. She immediately got to work and accepted a position at the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce as Account Manager and then became their Director of Business Development. At the chamber, Colleen was responsible for sales, developing and delivering marketing opportunities for over 400 clients, and management of the sales team. Colleen also spearheaded the chamber’s Young Professionals Group and served as the Director of the chamber’s Rocky Mountain Energy Council and Women in Business Group.
She considers herself very lucky to have been able to have such a lush career that fuels her passion for developing people and seeing others reach their full potential.
Colleen’s greatest accomplishment is her children, Emily and William. Her favorite pastimes are spending time with friends and family, taking in a comedy show, any and all fitness classes, and traveling.
Morgan Cherney, Program Coordinator
Morgan began her career at the Admin Awards as an intern assisting with pre-event tasks. Not only did she fall in love with her event planning and marketing responsibilities, but she quickly fell in love with the impact that the Admin Awards has on Administrative Professionals. She joined The Admin Awards team officially in December of 2016.
Morgan graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Communication Studies and minor in Human Relations in May of 2016. Shortly after graduation she relocated from her home in the Chicagoland area to Dallas. She is extremely passionate about helping others, has a deep love for animals, traveling the world and enjoys spending quality time with her friends, family, boyfriend and cat Keira.
Monica Ojeda, Program Coordinator
Monica came to The Admin Awards as an intern after graduating as an honor student from The University of Texas at Dallas in December of 2016 with a degree in Marketing and Business Management. As a supporter of all things fun, Monica decided she wanted to stay with The Admin Awards for the long run.
Before joining us, Monica worked in both Sales and Administrative environments for five years while in school.
Monica was born and raised in Dallas and loves traveling, photography, shopping, food, Netflix, and just having a good time with friends and family.
